Andrey Boreyko returns to Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra

14 November 2016

This week Andrey Boreyko returns to the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra to conduct three concerts at De Doelen on 18, 19 and 20 November.

The programme opens with Wagner’s Vorspiel und Liebestod from Tristan und Isolde , followed by Christianne Stotijn as the soloist in Peter Lieberson’s Neruda Songs, written for his wife Lorraine Hunt Lieberson, and Stravinsky’s Le Sacre du Printemps.

Rotterdam follows a spectacular week in Prague for Boreyko who recently conducted Liadov, Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky with Prague Symphony Orchestra. Later this year he completes an intense period in Europe with the Valencia Orchestra and Orchestre National de Belgique - where he is Music Director - before returning to Naples, Florida, where again he is Music Director of Artis Naples conducting a programme of Bach, Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich with Joshua Bell as soloist.
