Andrey Boreyko returns to Konzerthausorchester Berlin

22 September 2015

This week Andrey Boreyko returns to Konzerthausorchester Berlin to conduct Bruch’s Concerto for Violin No.1 (with soloist Vadim Gluzman) and Mahler’s Symphony No.5 on 24, 25 and 26 September. He then conducts them again at the Bratislava Music Festival on 28 September.

The performances follow Boreyko’s appearance with the orchestra in autumn 2014, when he conducted the season-opening concert of the Konzerthaus Berlin.

Next week sees Boreyko return to the Concertgebouw Amsterdam where he conducts the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and Nikolaj Znaider. The performances feature Nielsen’s Violin Concerto, Silvestrov’s Symphony No.7 (Dutch Premiere) and Andrey Boreyko’s selection from Tchaikovsky’s The Sleeping Beauty.

Further ahead, Boreyko embarks on an extensive tour of Germany with the Orchestre National de Belgique featuring composer and soloist Fazil Say and makes his debut with the San Francisco Symphony.
