Andrey Boreyko returns to Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin

11 June 2015

Andrey Boreyko returns to Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin with cellist Sol Gabetta performing Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto No.1 in the opening concert of the 30th Kissinger Sommer festival on 19 June. The programme also features Boreyko’s selection from Dvořák’s Slavonic Dances, Opp.46 & 72 and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.5.

Boreyko concludes this season with an appearance at Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw with Quirine Viersen and the Orchestre National de Belgique, of which he is Music Director.

Highlights of next season include performances with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin and Vadim Gluzman. This follows Boreyko’s appearance with the orchestra in autumn 2014, when he conducted the season-opening concert of the Konzerthaus Berlin.  Further highlights in 2015/16 include concerts with Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and Nikolai Znajder - including a return to the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and TivoliVredenburg Utrecht; an extensive tour of Germany with the Orchestre National de Belgique featuring composer and soloist Fazil Say; and Boreyko’s debut with San Francisco Symphony.
