A response to the events in Paris on 13 November 2015
We are all deeply shocked and saddened by the horrific events which took place in Paris on Friday evening. We feel deeply for so many who have lost loved ones or were caught up in the attacks.
As a company and as individuals, we share with our artists and music industry colleagues innumerable hours in concert halls and cultural spaces around the world, and so the attack on the Bataclan – where so many music lovers were killed or wounded – touches us most profoundly.
We share in the belief that music and culture have universal importance in bringing people together regardless of their origins and faith. We must hold steadfastly to the certainty that only peace and mutual understanding can bring about a safer and better world.
