Artists for Inclusivity Masterclass summer series in partnership with Tri-borough Music Hub

The HarrisonParrott Foundation was delighted to run an Artists for Inclusivity Online Summer Masterclass series in partnership with Tri-borough Music hub

After a year away due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were delighted to launch our HP Foundation ‘Artists for Inclusivity’ Online Masterclass summer series this year in partnership with Tri-borough Music hub.

The first workshop took place on 8 May with HarrisonParrott tenor John Daszak who is an avid believer in the importance of the power of music. The TBMH team were delighted to have him on board for the workshop, and the children involved thoroughly enjoyed hearing about his expert advice.

The next workshop took place on 15 May with cellist Alban Gerhardt. Alban strongly believes in the importance of delivering high quality live music to a broad range of audiences and is passionate about music education for young people. Back in 2019, we interviewed Alban about music as an essential and transformative power.

On 22 May, conductor Christoph Poppen led the next Artists for Inclusivity summer workshop. Beforehand, he sent over this wonderful video message talking about the importance of music in our lives for improving communication, peace-making and happiness.

The final workshop took place on 26 June with violinist Leticia Moreno. Ahead of the workshop, Leticia expressed her thoughts and feelings towards the importance of music education.

Music has enriched my existence and helped me understand the experiences that life has given me in a much more profound way. I am thrilled to be able to guide, encourage, and inspire future generations through the HP Foundation masterclasses.”
