Patricia Kopatchinskaja begins residency at Konzerthaus Berlin

This week Patricia Kopatchinskaja gives the opening concerts as Artist in Residence at the Konzerthaus Berlin for the 2016/17 season.
Kopatchinskaja performs Schumann’s Violin Concerto with the Konzerthausorchester under the baton of Iván Fischer on 11 & 13 November, and also gives a late night recital on 11 November with pianist Polina Leschenko, performing Webern’s Four Pieces for violin and piano and Schumann’s Violin Sonata No.2.
Other highlights of Kopatchinskaja’s residency in Berlin include concerts with The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Musica Aeterna under the baton of Teodor Currentzis and performances of Sibelius’ Violin Concerto, again with the Konzerthausorchester under Iván Fischer. She also presents a number of chamber concerts including Kurtag’s Kafka Fragments with soprano Juliane Banse, a trio recital with Anthony Romaniuk and her father Viktor Kopatchinsky and a children’s project entitled ‘Ant & Grasshopper’.
