Patricia Kopatchinskaja gives the world premiere of Mauricio Sotelo’s Red Inner Light Sculpture for Violin, Percussion, Flamenco Dancer & Strings in performances with The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra at the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts on 10, 11 & 12 June. This all-Spanish programme also includes works by Ginastera and Falla.

Kopatchinskaja has performed a number of new commission premieres this season including Mark Anthony Turnage’s Dialogue for Violin and Cello with Sol Gabetta, and a new Violin Concerto by Michael Hersch – again with The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra – in November 2015. She will also premiere new works by Alexander Khubeev and Jorge Sánchez-Chiong as part of the International Summer Course for New Music in Darmstadt in August.
