Patricia Kopatchinskaja concludes residency in Hamburg

Patricia Kopatchinskaja gives three performances in Hamburg this week to conclude her time as artist-in-residence at the Laeiszhalle this season.
Patricia performs Kurtág’s Kafka Fragments with soprano Anu Komsi on 15 May, a chamber programme featuring works by Ustvolskaya with pianist Markus Hinterhäuser on 17 May, and a concert on 19 May entitled ‘Bye Bye Beethoven’ – a staged production with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra featuring works by Ives, Haydn, Cage, Beethoven and Kurtág.
Earlier concerts this season as part of her residency included Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No.2 with Camerata Salzburg and Louis Langrée in October 2015 and a performance of Beethoven’s Violin Concerto with MusicAeterna and Teodor Currentzis in January 2016.
A repeat performance of ‘Bye Bye Beethoven’ will take place at Radialsystem Berlin on 21 May.
