Golda Schultz debuts as Wagner’s Freia at the Bayerische Staatsoper
17/2/2015
This week Golda Schultz makes her role debut as Freia in Andreas Kriegenburg’s production of Das Rheingold at the Bayerische Staatsoper. Conducted by Kirill Petrenko, performances run from 20 February to 22 March.
A former member of the Bayerische Staatsoper’s Opernstudio and now in its ensemble, the Munich audience has already enjoyed Golda Schultz’s interpretation of both Musetta (La bohème) and Micaëla (Carmen) this season.
A recent last minute substitution gave Golda her debut at Opernhaus Zürich as Contessa Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), and she goes on to make further debuts this season at both Staatsoper Hamburg and the Salzburger Festspiele.
