Pablo Heras-Casado conducts Die Zauberflöte at Festival d’Aix en Provence

Pablo Heras-Casado makes his debut at the Festival d’Aix en Provence, conducting Simon McBurney’s production of Die Zauberflöte. Heras-Casado conducts the Freiburger Barockorchester in the production which opens on 2 July, with performances running until 23 July. The 9 July performance will be streamed live on ARTE.
Conductor and orchestra recently undertook an extensive and highly successful European tour together. Heras-Casado will also appear with the Freiburger BarockConsort in Monteverdi’s Orfeo in a production by Sasha Waltz that premieres at Netherlands Opera on 3 September.
Other upcoming highlights for Heras-Casado include his return to The Metropolitan Opera, where he will conduct Carmen, opening on 30 September.
