Nikolai Lugansky returns to Washington’s National Symphony Orchestra
14/4/2014
Nikolai Lugansky returns to Washington’s National Symphony Orchestra, when he performs Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No.3 in concerts conducted by Cornelius Meister on 17, 18 and 19 April.
Lugansky’s recording of the work was released on Naïve last year when, amongst other acclaim, it was chosen as BBC Radio 3’s CD of the week.
Lugansky’s Washington performances are followed by a series of appearances in Brazil and the US, culminating in a recital at Chicago’s Symphony Center on 4 May, when he performs works by Franck, Prokofiev and Rachmaninov.
