Daniel Blendulf joins HarrisonParrott for worldwide general management

Swedish conductor Daniel Blendulf has joined HarrisonParrott for worldwide general management.

Blendulf already conducts at the highest level in his native Sweden, including with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, Gothenburg Symphony, Swedish Radio Symphony and Swedish Chamber orchestras. He will go on to make his Finnish debut in 2013 conducting the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra.

For the Royal Swedish Opera Blendulf has conducted productions of Carmen (broadcast in cinemas nationally featuring Katarina Dalayman in the title role), Don Pasquale and the world premiere of Anders Eliasson's Karolinas sömn. Productions elsewhere have included Berg's Wozzeck and Gounod's Faust.

In April 2008 Daniel Blendulf won first prize in the Swedish Conducting Competition. Previously a cellist with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Lucerne Festival Orchestra, Blendulf was elected an ECHO Rising Star artist in 2006.
