Pablo Heras-Casado makes his debut at Festspielhaus Baden-Baden
Conductor Pablo Heras-Casado collaborates with tenor Rolando Villazón for the first time to perform Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’Amore on 28 May in his debut at Festspielhaus Baden-Baden. Villazón, who sings the role of Nemorino, also directs the new production. Heras-Casado conducts the Balthasar Neumann Choir and Ensemble in two further performances on 31 May & 3 June.
This engagement follows Heras-Casado's performances with the Staatskapelle Berlin and Patricia Kopatchinskaja earlier in May. Upcoming major dates include his debut with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, performances with the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra at the White Nights Festival, an appearance at the Salzburger Festspiele with Klangforum Wien and reinvitations to both the Symphonieorchester des Bayerische Rundfunks and Freiburger Barockorchester.
