Alina Pogostkina makes her debut with Los Angeles Philharmonic
10 May 2012
Alina Pogostkina makes her debut with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and conductor Gustavo Dudamel this week. Pogostkina joins the orchestra and Dudamel to perform Peteris Vasks' concerto Distant Light, composed in 1997 in a concert also featuring Mozart's overture to La nozze di Figaro and his Posthorn Serenade.
This debut performance also coincides with the recent release of Alina's recording of Vasks' work with the Riga Sinfonietta. Later this month, she travels to the UK to perform Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1 with the Philharmonia Orchestra and Vladimir Ashkenazy.
