Paavo Järvi returns to the Münchner Philharmoniker for three concerts

Paavo Järvi will return to the Münchner Philharmoniker to conduct three concerts at the Philharmonie im Gasteig on 28-30 April. Pianist Khatia Buniatishvili joins them for a performance of Grieg’s Piano Concerto; Sibelius’ Symphony No. 1 and Britten’s Simple Symphony complete the programme.

The concerts follow Paavo Järvi’s recent performances in Moscow with his own Orchestre de Paris at the Dom Soyuzov as part of the Mstislav Rostropovich International Festival.

Later this year he makes another guest conducting appearance, conducting the Verbier Festival Orchestra and René Pape in a programme of Wagner and Bruckner.
