Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, Andreas Scholl and the Jerusalem Quartet have all been nominated in the 2012 BBC Music Magazine Awards.

Andreas Scholl is nominated in the vocal category for his Decca disc 'O Solitude' with the Accademia Bizantina and Stefano Montanari. Commenting on the CD, BBC Music Magazine's Rebecca Franks writes "few can equal the sheer beauty of tone and dramatic instinct displayed by Andreas Scholl. From the unsettlingly breathless account of ‘What power art thou’ from King Arthur to the gloriously serene Evening Hymn, Scholl illuminates every nuance of Purcell’s music in this beautifully programmed recital."

The Jerusalem Quartet feature in the chamber category for their recording of Mozart's String Quartets for Harmonia Mundi. Praising the disc, Helen Wallace commented: "I defy anyone not to find something new in these scintillating performances."

Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, nominated for the orchestral award in 2011 for his CD of Bartok's Piano Concertos, is featured in the same category this year for his Chandos disc of Ravel, Debussy and Massenet with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Yan Pascal Tortelier. Rebecca Franks praised Bavouzet's "magical tone, impeccable phrasing, sparkling energy, wit and panache", going on to say "Bavouzet proves a dream soloist for the two Piano Concertos."
