Sayaka Shoji steps in at short notice with Danish National Symphony Orchestra

Violinist Sayaka Shoji steps in with two days notice to perform Shostakovich with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra on 19 January and conductor Yan Pascal Tortelier. Shoji appears in place of the original soloist for this concert, Arabella Steinbacher, who withdrew due to illness. This concert sees Sayaka make her debut with the orchestra performing Shostakovich's Violin Concerto No. 2, in a programme also including works by Brahms and Schubert.
