Peter Oundjian extends representation with HarrisonParrott to worldwide management
HarrisonParrott is pleased to announce that it has extended its management agreement with Peter Oundjian and will now represent him worldwide.
Dubbed by The Herald as “a fantastic craftsman and a complete energiser”, Peter Oundjian will take over as Music Director of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra at the start of the 2012/13 season, whilst continuing as Music Director of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
Oundjian makes frequent guest appearances with orchestras such as the Boston Symphony, Chicago Symphony, San Francisco Symphony and St Louis Symphony orchestras, as well the Philadelphia Orchestra, Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. Forthcoming debuts include concerts with the NHK Symphony Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and Orchestre de Paris.
Peter Oundjian has been Music Director in Toronto since 2004 and was until recently Principal Guest Conductor and Artistic Advisor of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Together, he and the TSO have released six CDs on the TSO Live label, the latest of which was a recording of Holst’s The Planets which Gramophone magazine described as showcasing ‘the TSO to be in excellent shape under Oundjian’. Their current season includes a rare Lang Lang Beethoven cycle, as well as residencies with Yo-Yo Ma and Itzhak Perlman.
