Charlotte Hellekant and Klara Ek perform Mahler with Los Angeles Philharmonic and Simón Bolivar Symphony Orchestra

Charlotte Hellekant is in Los Angeles to perform Mahler's Symphony No. 8 with Gustavo Dudamel and the combined forces of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Simón Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela at the Shrine Auditorium on 4 February.

The concert is part of the Mahler Project, a five week-long international exchange project to honour the 100th Anniversary of Mahler's death, that will see Dudamel perform all Mahler symphonies both in Los Angeles and in Caracas with the orchestras exchanging visits.

Charlotte Hellekant is in Caracas on 18 February for her performance of Mahler 8, which will be broadcast live in cinemas in the United States and the rest of the world.

Soprano Klara Ek also joins Gustavo Dudamel in Caracas to perform Mahler's Symphony No. 2 with the Simón Bolivar SO on 7 February and Mahler's  Symphony No. 4 with the Los Angeles Philharmonic on 13 February. Both concerts will be held at the Teresa Carreno Auditorium in Caracas.
