Pablo Heras-Casado awarded Medal of Honour by Fundación Rodriguez Acosta

Pablo Heras-Casado has been awarded a Medal of Honour by the Rodriguez Acosta Foundation. In a statement, the foundation said that Heras-Casado's "versatility is an essential feature in his career, which highlights a wide-ranging repertoire ranging from Renaissance to contemporary pieces, compositions, and from chamber music to the great operas." The award, with previous winners including Manuel de Falla and Andrés Segovia Torres, will be presented in spring 2012. Established in 1941, the Fundación Rodriguez Acosta is a cultural body based in Granada aiming to promote the arts throughout the region.
