Hannu Lintu, Andreas Scholl & Lan Shui nominated for Grammy Awards

Hannu Lintu, Andreas Scholl & Lan Shui have all been nominated for Grammy Awards. One of the world's most well-known awards, The Grammy's have been given for more than fifty years by the US National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. They honour artistic achievement, technical proficiency and overall excellence in the recording industry.
The "Best Opera Recording" category features a nomination for Hannu Lintu, who conducts Rautavaara's Kaivos in an acclaimed disc for Ondine with the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra.
Andreas Scholl is nominated for his Decca release "O Solitude" in the "Best Classical Vocal Solo". The CD, recorded with Stefano Montanari, Christophe Dumaux and Accademia Bizantina, was released in late 2010.
Lan Shui also features on the list of nominees, conducting a selection of Chinese Recorder Concertos with the Copenhagen Philharmonic and Michala Petri.
