Valeriy Sokolov embarks on a tour with Orchestre National d’Ile de France

Violinist Valeriy Sokolov embarks on a tour with Orchestre National d’Ile de France this week, performing under their chief conductor Yoel Levi.

Sokolov will perform Bartók’s Second Violin Concerto, repertoire included on his latest disc along with the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto, released for EMI Classics/Virgin on 3 October. Performances will take place at the Salle Pleyel in Paris, Espace Michel Simon in Noisy-le-Grand, Centre Des Bords de Marne in Le Perreux-sur-Marne and L’Apostrophe Théâtre des Louvrais in Cergy Pontoise between 14 and 21 October.

Sokolov will appear at Fnac Ternes, Avenue des Ternes, Paris 8 at 6pm on 19 October where he will give a short performance and meet fans.
