Susanna Mälkki makes her debut with Chicago Symphony Orchestra

Susanna Malkki makes her debut with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in four performances on 13, 14, 15 & 18 October. The programme includes performances of works by Ives, Strauss’s Also Sprach Zarathustra as well as Mugrave’s Autumn Sontata featuring J. Lawrie Bloom on bass clarinet. Mälkki will also conduct the Chicago Civic Orchestra in performances of Schumann’s Symphony No. 3 and Feria by Lindberg. These concerts will be recorded for deferred broadcast in the new year on local radio WFMT.
