Sol Gabetta begins five-concert residency at Konzerthaus Berlin

Opening the 2011/12 season, Sol Gabetta is in Berlin to perform Saint-Saens' Cello Concerto No. 1 with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin under the baton of Dmitri Kitajenko. The concert on 25 August is the first of a five-part residency at the Konzerthaus in which she performs Cello Concertos by Saint-Saëns and Shostakovich, a recital with Mihaela Ursuleasa and in a chamber music matinee with musicians of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin.
