Pierre-Laurent Aimard appears at Salzburg Festival

This week sees Pierre-Laurent Aimard’s return to the Salzburg Festival for two recitals. On 15 August he performed Ives’s Second Piano Sonata in a concert also featuring the Zehetmair Quartet. Salzburg audiences get to see Aimard again on 22 August, where he is joined by baritone Thomas Quasthoff to perform Schubert’s lied cycle Winterreise.
