Pekka Kuusisto continues his tour of South America with the Britten Sinfonia

Pekka Kuusisto continues his tour of South America with the Britten Sinfonia following concerts in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo last week. They travel onto Buenos Aires (8 & 10 August), Montevideo (11 August) and return to Sao Paulo for their final concert on 13 August.

The eclectic programme - directed by Pekka - links Britten’s Les Illuminations featuring tenor soloist Allan Clayton, several works by Purcell (including an arrangement of Let the night perish by American composer Nico Muhly), and a number of contemporary works by Tippett, Reich and Adams.
