Hough performs Saint-Saëns at the BBC Proms

Stephen Hough performs at the BBC Proms this week, joining the BBC Philharmonic under the direction of their outgoing chief conductor, Gianandrea Noseda. Stephen is soloist for a performance of Piano Concerto No. 5 – nicknamed “the Egyptian” – by Saint-Saëns, at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday 1 August. Stephen's recording of the work for Hyperion won the Gramophone Magazine's 'Gold Disc' Award in 2008 and was a Gramophone Record of the Year.
