Igor Levit performs in ECHO Rising Stars series

Igor Levit has been chosen to perform in the ECHO Rising Stars series from the 2012/13 season. The series showcases outstanding young musicians, hand-picked by the directors of the most important concert halls in Europe. Levit will perform in venues such as the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Kölner Philharmonie, Barbican Centre and Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw.

Igor Levit’s recent orchestral debuts have included NDR Sinfonieorchester Hamburg, Düsseldorfer Symphoniker, Israel Philharmonic, hr-Sinfonieorchester and the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester. Next season he debuts with Staatskapelle Dresden as well as the London Philharmonic Orchestra under Vladimir Jurowski. In recital, Igor Levit gave acclaimed performances in Hamburg, Frankfurt and Milan, and in particular with his debut recital at the Prinzregententheater in Munich last November.
