Vladimir Ashkenazy conducts opening concerts of Reykjavik's Harpa Concert Hall

Vladimir Ashkenazy conducts the opening concerts in Reykjavik's new Harpa Concert Hall on May 4, 5 & 6. He leads the Iceland Symphony Orchestra in televised performances of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 and Thorkell Sigurbjornsson's newly commissioned work Welcome, Harpa to mark the occasion. HarrisonParrott has acted as artistic consultant to the new hall, designed by Olafur Eliasson, since 2007.
