Pablo Heras-Casado, Barbara Hannigan and Charlotte Hellekant perform in world premiere at La Monnaie

Pablo Heras-Casado conducts the world premiere of Toshio Hosokawa's Matsukaze at the Theatre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels. Barbara Hannigan sings the title role in the eagerly-anticipated work, and is also joined by Charlotte Hellekant in the role of Murasame. Directed and choreographed by Sasha Waltz, the production features a libretto by Hannah Dübgen based on the eponymous Japanese Noh play by Zeami Motokiyo. Seven performances are scheduled between 3 and 11 May 2011.
