Arvo Volmer signs with HarrisonParrott

HarrisonParrott is delighted to announce the signing of conductor Arvo Volmer for general management.
Currently Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, as well as Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Estonian National Opera, Arvo Volmer has worked with such orchestras as the BBC Philharmonic, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and L'Orchestre National de France. In Germany he has conducted the Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Berlin, Stuttgarter Philharmoniker, Orchestra of the Komische Oper Berlin, and the Dortmunder Philharmoniker. He has conducted most of Scandinavia's major ensembles including the Finnish Radio Symphony, Helsinki Philharmonic, Göteborgs Symfoniker and Royal Stockholm Philharmonic orchestras as well as all major orchestras across New Zealand and Australia.
Highlights in 2010 included engagements with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, the Adelaide and Tasmanian Symphony orchestras (in Mahler's Symphony No. 8 at the Adelaide Festival) and appearances at the Schumann Festival. He also conducted La fanciulla del West with Opera Australia at the Sydney Opera House, as well as concerts with the Orquestra Sinfonica do Estado de São Paulo. Future dates include Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 with the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra in December 2011 and Aida and Turandot for Opera Australia in 2012.
