Martin Grubinger and Alina Pogostkina tour Japan with Jonathan Nott and NHK Symphony Orchestra

Martin Grubinger and Alina Pogostkina join Jonathan Nott for an eight-concert tour of Japan with the NHK Symphony Orchestra over the next two weeks. Grubinger performs the Japanese premiere of Dorman's Frozen in Time, a piece which refers to imaginary snapshots of the Earth’s geological development from prehistoric times to the present day. Pogostkina joins the orchestra to perform Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 1. The series begins with concerts at Tokyo's Suntory Hall on 16 & 17 February before touring until 27 February.
