Jörg Widmann performs at Salzburg Mozartwoche with Christian Tetzlaff

Jörg Widmann will be featured prominently at this year's Salzburg Mozartwoche. Involved in multiple roles, Widmann's activities include a recital with the Hagen Quartet on 23 January featuring him in Holliger's Rechant für Klarinette solo and Mozart's Clarinet Quintet alongside a second recital on 24 January with Christian Tetzlaff and other chamber music partners featuring his composition Duos for Violin and Violoncello'. The highlight will be a concert with the Salzburg Camerata and conductor Heinz Holliger in Mozart's Clarinet Concerto, and Jörg Widmann conducting his own Oboenkonzert with Holliger as soloist. This performance takes place on 27 January at the Mozarteum. and will be followed the next day by a recital with Christine Schäfer and, on 29 January, a further recital with Hanna Weinmeister, Alexander Lonquich and Heinz Holliger. Widmann completes the week with a performance of his Fantasie for solo Clarinet on Annette Dasch's television show, 'Daschsalon'.
