Alison Balsom's Italian Concertos revealed as EMI Classics' biggest-selling disc of 2010

Alison Balsom’s latest album, 'Italian Concertos', has been revealed as EMI Classics biggest-selling recording of 2010. The album outsold recordings by Karl Jenkins, Leif Ove Andsnes, and Simon Rattle and the Berliner Philharmoniker to reach the top spot.
The news comes after Balsom's hugely successful US television debut on the Late Show with David Letterman in December. 'Italian Concertos' was also voted “Most Popular Album for 2010” on WQXR Radio.
