Pekka Kuusisto embarks on tour with Amsterdam Sinfonietta

Pekka Kuusisto tours The Netherlands with the Amsterdam Sinfonietta this week, performing as both director and violin soloist. With the opening concert in Eindhoven on 7 December, this tour also marks the next part of his season-long residency with the Eindhoven Muziekgebouw.

The other concerts will take place in Leiden (8 December) and in Amsterdam’s Het Muziekgebouw aan’t IJ (10 & 11 December), with the programme featuring contrasting works by Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Haydn, contemporary Finnish composer Aulis Sallinen and Alfred Schnittke.
