Martin Fröst begins four-concert residency at Kölner Philharmonie

Martin Fröst begins his four concert residency at Kölner Philharmonie. The first concert, titled ‘Danse Serpentine’, will take place on 9 December with Roland Pöntinen on piano. The programme will include Debussy’s Première Rhapsodie, Poulenc’s Sonata for Clarinet and Piano, Lutoslawski’s Dance Preludes and Hillborg’s Clarinet Concerto Peacock Tales.

The second concert of Fröst’s residency in Cologne this winter includes a collaboration between Fröst, Janine Jansen, Itamar Golan and dancers Suzan Tunca and Victor Callens with choreography by Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten. The concert is entitled ‘Double Points’ and features Voices on Wings, a piece composed by Martin Fröst especially for this project.

Martin will return in spring 2011 for a further two concerts on 31 March and 2 April.
