Krzysztof Urbański to make his North American debut

Krzysztof Urbański will make his North American debut in two performances with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra on 16 & 17 April. The concerts feature Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 and Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 with pianist Dejan Lazic.

Urbański will return to the United States later this summer to give concerts with the Houston Symphony and at the Grant Park Festival where he will conduct an all-Polish programme including works by Wojciech Kilar, Chopin and Lutosławski.

Urbański takes up his new post as Chief Conductor of Trondheim Symfoniorkester in autumn 2010.
