He has appeared with such orchestras as the Berliner Philharmoniker, Philadelphia, Royal Concertgebouw, Staatskapelle Dresden, BBC Symphony, Chicago, and Cleveland Orchestras. Highlights of the 2009/10 season include a performance at Carnegie Hall with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, concerts with Los Angeles Philharmonic, Münchner Philharmoniker, Mozarteum Orchester Salzburg, Philharmonia Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris and WDR Sinfonieorchester.
Truls Mørk is a committed performer of contemporary music. He will perform the world premiere of Bright Sheng’s sonata for cello and piano at the 2010 Bergen International Festival and he recently gave the world premiere of Lasse Thoresen's cello concerto with the Oslo Philharmonic under Jukka-Pekka Saraste. In 2007/08 season he made his debut with Vienna Philharmonic performing Pavel Haas’ Cello Concerto and premiered John McCabe’s Cello Concerto with the Hallé Orchestra under Mark Elder.
Recent recordings include the Brahms Double concerto with the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchester under Riccardo Chailly with Vadim Repin on the Deutsche Grammophon label and Haflidi Hallgrímsson's works for cello and orchestra for Ondine.
