Stephen Richardson was born in Liverpool and read music at Manchester University before training at the Royal Northern College of Music.
Roles this season have included Monterone (Rigoletto) and Hobson (Peter Grimes) for Opera North, Kaspar (Der Freischütz) for Danish National Opera, and he took part in performances of a concert version of Barry’s The Triumph of Beauty and Deceit with Birmingham Contemporary Music Group conducted by Thomas Adès.
Future performances include Dikoy (Katya Kabanova) with Opera North, and a return to the Royal Opera, Covent Garden for The Tempest.
