Jury member John O’Conor described Rafal Blechacz as “one of the greatest artists I have had chance to hear in my entire life”. Blechacz has an exclusive recording contract with Deutsche Grammophon, and his first disc – due to be released in 2007 – will feature works by Chopin.
Rafał Blechacz has recently performed at London’s Wigmore Hall, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Tonhalle in Zürich and on tour in Japan. Upcoming concerts take place in Tokyo’s Suntory Hall and Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels.
