Peter Jablonski

"It may happen once a season or once in a lifetime. Along comes a talent, not merely your run-of-the-mill virtuoso, but someone, something extraordinary that makes you rethink a piece of music you thought you’ve known forever. It happened Thursday night......the talent, Swedish pianist Peter Jablonski."

- Washington Post

Engaging audiences with dynamic flair and virtuosity, Peter Jablonski has given concerts on all five continents, both in recital and with many orchestras.

These include the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, BBC Symphony, Philharmonia, Cleveland Orchestras and Orchestre National de France to name a few. Mr Jablonski has recently performed with Leipzig Gewandhaus, Filarmonica della Scala di Milano, Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Cincinnati Symphony, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. Plans this season include concerts with the Gothenburg Symphony, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie and a tour with Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire.

A frequent performer in the Far East he will be appearing with the Malaysian and Osaka Philharmonics and the Tokyo and KBS Symphonies.

Peter Jablonski is Artistic Director of the annual Karlskrona Chamber Music Festival in Sweden. He is also Artistic Director to Altara Records for which he has recently recorded the Prokofiev and Shostakovich cello sonatas with Ralph Kirshbaum. Together the duo have given a number of recitals including at the Frick Collection in New York and they have performed at the Ravinia Festival and in La Jolla in 2008. His most recent release with Altara is a recital CD featuring Mazurkas by Chopin, Szymanowski and Maciejewski.
