Highlights of the 2005/06 season included his debut appearances with the St Louis Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia, the Orchestre National de Belgique and the Academia di Santa Cecilia in Rome, and his subscription debut with the Orchestre de Paris. In 2006/07 he makes his debut with the Seoul Philharmonic and NHK Symphony Orchestras, and returns to the Tampere Philharmonic.
A devoted interpreter of opera, he made his Glyndebourne Touring Opera debut in 2004 with Pélléas et Mélisande, and in 2005 conducted Massenet’s Thaïs for the Rome Opera. In January 2006 he conducted the premiere of Michael Jarrell’s Galilée at the Geneva Opera.
Pascal Rophé’s recordings of works by Tanguy, Escaich and Dusapin have received numerous awards. In the pipeline is a recording of works by Michael Jarrell with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.
