Already closely linked with the Opéra National de Paris, Teatro Real de Madrid and Opera de Bordeaux, he makes his debut at New York City Opera in 2010. Meanwhile he maintains a significant reputation for conducting performances of neglected 17th and 18th century repertoire as founder and Music Director of the Compańía Teatro del Príncipe, as well as being guest conductor with many and prize winning chamber choirs. And he was Pierre Boulez’s choice as first prize winner of the 2007 Lucerne Festival conductor’s competition, selected by Boulez and Peter Eötvös for the festival performance of Stockhausen’s Gruppen.
Born in Granada in 1977, Pablo has conducted extensively in Spain with orchestras, choirs and in the theatre; is Principal Conductor of the Girona City Orchestra; and was founder and principal conductor of the Granada Baroque Orchestra.
