Still only in his 20s, Mikko Franck has rapidly established himself as one of the most exciting international conductors, building up a wide range of repertoire both with symphony orchestra and in the opera house.
In recent seasons, Mikko Franck has worked with orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Munich Philharmonic, Bamberg Symphony, Finnish Radio Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Dallas, Chicago, and London Symphonies, Philharmonia and Israel Philharmonic orchestras. He has toured Japan with both the Bamberger Symphoniker and the Orchestre National de Belgique, and in May 2002 was artistic director of a Rautavaara Festival with the Helsinki Philharmonic.
Highlights of the current season include concerts with the Toyko Symphony and WDR Cologne, as well as the New York Philharmonic and San Francisco Symphony Orchestra.
