Mikko Franck has established himself as one of the most exciting international conductors, building up a wide range of repertoire both with symphony orchestra and in the opera house.
In recent seasons, Mikko Franck has worked with orchestras such as the Berliner Philharmoniker, Münchner Philharmoniker, Bamberger Symphoniker, Finnish Radio Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Dallas, Chicago, and London Symphony Orchestras, as well as the Philharmonia and Israel Philharmonic Orchestras. He has toured Japan with both the Bamberger Symphoniker and the Orchestre National de Belgique, and in May 2002 was artistic director of a Rautavaara Festival with the Helsinki Philharmonic.
Highlights of the current season include his debut with the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia as well as return visits to the Orchestra National de France and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. He will also conduct Tosca at the Choregies d’Oranges.
