Juanita Lascarro

After making a spectacular British operatic debut as the heroine of Strauss' Daphne, Juanita Lascarro has gone on to sing principal roles in many of the major European theatres.

These include the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Bayerische Staatsoper, Opernhaus Zürich, Opéra National de Paris, Teatro Real Madrid, Netherlands Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin and La Monnaie. She has an impressive discography which includes Krasa's Die Verlobung im Traum, Alcina and Les contes d'Hoffmann and Der Zwerg.

Highlights in the 2008/2009 season include Tiefland at Gran Teatre del Liceu, Suor Angelica at Oper Frankfurt and the title-role in the British premiere of Martinu’s Mirandonlia at Garsington.
