She has appeared with many of the world’s most prestigious orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony and NHK Symphony Orchestra Tokyo.
In July 2005 she performed at the First Night of the BBC Proms. Highlights in the 2007/08 season include US debuts with New York Philharmonic and Los Angeles Philharmonic. European engagements include London Symphony Orchestra, Dresden Staatskapelle and Deutsches Symphony Orchester Berlin among others.
Janine is a devoted performer of chamber music: she established and curates the annual International Chamber Music Festival in Utrecht.
Janine Jansen has an exclusive recording contract with Decca (Universal Music Group). In September 2003 she was awarded the Dutch Music Prize from the Ministry of Culture, the highest distinction an artist can receive in The Netherlands. She also received the Edison Classic Public Award in 2004 and 2005, as well as Echo awards for her Vivaldi and Mendelssohn recordings.
