Harry Christophers has built an impressive reputation for The Sixteen throughout the world, both through live performances and many award-winning recordings.

He has directed The Sixteen choir and orchestra throughout Europe, America and the Far East gaining a distinguished reputation for his work in Renaissance, Baroque and twentieth century music. In addition to his work with The Sixteen, Harry is in great demand as a guest conductor for many of the major symphony orchestras and opera companies worldwide; in September 2008 he was appointed Artistic Director of Boston’s Handel and Haydn Society. He is also a regular guest conductor with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields and the Orquestra de la Comunidad de Madrid, both of whom have benefited from his dynamic brand of programming. Within the last few years he has also conducted the Hallé, the London Symphony Orchestra and San Francisco Symphony Orchestra.
