Eliana Pretorian

Eliana Pretorian was born in Romania and after studying choreography, universal languages and physics she went on to study singing at the National Academy of Music in Bucharest, the Royal College of Music, London, the Benjamin Britten International Opera School and at the National Opera Studio.

Recent highlights have included Naiad (Ariadne auf Naxos) at Garsington and Gianetta (L'elisir d'amore) with Glyndebourne Touring Opera; and in concert, Messiah with the Philadelphia Orchestra under Christopher Warren-Green and Mozart C minor Mass with the Orchestra of St John’s. Highlights for 2008/09 include the Dew Fairy (Hänsel und Gretel) and Papagena (Die Zauberflöte) with Glyndebourne Touring Opera, Dircé (Médée) with the Gulbenkian Orchestra under Lawrence Foster and Gianetta (L'elisir d'amore) with Glyndebourne Festival Opera.
