Dejan Lazić has quickly established himself as “a brilliant pianist and gifted musician” (Gramophone). The All Music Guide stated: “…technical perfection is the least of Lazić's achievements, because the real greatness of his performances is their exemplary musicianship and their consummate lyricism.” In spring 2008 he gave his debut at New York's Lincoln Center with Budapest Festival Orchestra and Iván Fischer, as well as at London's Royal Festival Hall with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Kirill Petrenko.
Other orchestral engagements include the Philharmonia Orchestra London with Vladimir Ashkenazy, Bamberger Symphoniker with Jonathan Nott, MDR Leipzig, the CBSO, Swedish Radio and Danish National Symphony Orchestras, Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de Săo Paulo, Het Residentie Orkest, Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest, the Atlanta, Indianapolis, and Seattle Symphony Orchestras, and tours with the Australian Chamber Orchestra and Kammerorchester Basel. He is appearing in recital at New York's Lincoln Center, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Beijing’s Forbidden City Concert Hall, Gstaad Menuhin Festival as well as in Istanbul, Munich and at the Heidelberg Spring.
An "Artist in residence" with the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra in the 2008/09 season, he also has a growing following in the Far East where he performed with the Seoul and Hong Kong Philharmonics as well as with Yomiuri Nippon and Sapporo Symphony Orchestras. This season, he will be making his debut with the NHK Symphony Orchestra.
Dejan records exclusively for Channel Classics and has released a large number of CDs. His latest feature Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the London Philharmonic Orchestra under Kirill Petrenko and solo works by Schumann and Brahms.
