Biography
Born in Cordoba, Argentina, Sol Gabetta is forging an impressive career. She has a recording contract with Sony Classical, is the director of her own festival and invited to perform worldwide.
In 2004 Sol Gabetta received the prestigious Credit Suisse Young Artist Award, marked by a concert with the Wiener Philharmoniker under the baton of Valery Gergiev at the Lucerne Festival.
Winner of the 2007, 2009 and 2011 Echo Klassik Awards and Grammy Award nominee, Sol Gabetta regularly works with orchestras such as the Royal Concertgebouw, City of Birmingham Symphony, Royal Philharmonic, National Symphony, Gulbenkian and Israel Philharmonic orchestras, as well as the Bamberger Symphoniker, hr-Sinfonieorchester, Münchner Philharmoniker, Russian National Symphony and Kammerorchesterbasel. Recitals have led her to many major venues and festivals, amongst them Vienna Musikverein, Wigmore Hall, Luxembourg Philharmonie and Aspen Festival.
